Michael Miu OTO Meet and Greet Session ( 苗僑偉-马来西亚见面会) - 1 Utama (9 June 2012)
OTO 足感 Power Flex's new spokes person is none other than 三哥 aka Michael Miu. The ever attentive and devoted spouse, Jamie Chik tagged along, too. Ah Miu was sheer epitome of coolness - donning fiery red Ferrari cardigan and in light tone shades ! This uncle is oozing with "chok-ness." Apparently, this also happens to be his image from the recently wrapped-up TVB drama - "雷霆扫毒" (Fight Crime). Michael let on that his next project would be a Mainland tv series. I wouldn't be surprised if he joins buddy, Felix Wong in CTI station.
With Father's Day just around the corner, Michael tried to convince the crowd that OTO Power Flex is the perfect gift for this special occasion. He claims to be the proud owner of two units at home (one for him and another for wifey). Two father-and-off-spring team were selected to participate in an innovative game (even Miu said so) with 3 Gor. The kiddos were blind folded and had to identify their dads by touching their respective fists. The girl was spot on but the boy picked Michael instead ! Or perhaps the boy had done that deliberately ! Hee hee.
Michael jokingly said that he has a new son and will bring him back to HK. The event lasted for less than half an hour. Michael was whisked off to KLIA to catch the same evening's flight. Miu is such a nice celebrity. Running on tight schedule and yet, willing to stop briefly to sign autographs before being whizzed off.

TWINS LIVE IN MALAYSIA 2012. Twins 人人弹起大马演唱会2012 - June 9,2012 (Genting Arena Of Stars)
Twins' popularity withstood the test of time when other girl bands have vanished from HK's entertainment radar. "Cookies" has turned into crumbs and 2R probably stands for "2 Redundants" now. All have disbanded except for Gillian and Charlene, who continue to brave personal upheavals and challenges. After a lapse of 6 years since the last concert in Genting, would I say no to the duo who had brought me countless sugary pop goodness for a decade ?!! Not on your life ! I snapped-up my tickets during the very first day of launch. I'm ain't taking any chances when it comes to Twins. Haters would continue to loathe them, while believers like me shall carry-on with our adoration. Both may have hit 30 but they could easily passed off as teeny boppers...baby skin complexion with not a single sign of ageing. Not certain whether Genting has beefed-up security (after Arena-Of-Stars hall renovation) or probably the secret pin-hole camera incident is still fresh in Genting management's mind but security were checking every damn bags for cameras. WTF! The concert did not start off on a good foot. Ah Sa's vocal was clearly not in top form. Luckily, she overcame this minor hiccup after warming-up to the audience. The run down was a good mix of fast and slow tracks. There are certain elements to a memorable concert - fan interactions, pleasing vocals, awesome choreography and the feeling of totally being absorbed with the performers on stage. Unfortunately, after more than a decade in this industry, they have yet to enhance their communication skills...interaction consists of the usual giggling, laughs and mindless talk. Another weak point is their dancing - still "好 HEA !!." Fortunately, passion is not lacking. Overall, it was high energy and fun ! Twins local fan club has always been boisterous and thanks to the loud and repetitive "encore" chants, it brought Twins back for a second round of encore. The audience was truly amazing - went absolutely ballistic, jumping (during "人人彈起")and singing along. For the past few months, I've been speculating with my friends on who the guest singer would be. In China, they had Fung (Raymond Lam) and Ken Hung. At the back of my mind, I keep hoping for Boyz. Those who have followed my blog would know that I used to be (and still am) an avid supporter of Kenny or rather, Boyz (before the initial break-up). Can never get enough of cutie pie Kenny !! And what do ya know ?!! Lo and behold ! Boyz appeared right before my eyes for "死性不改" duet with Twins and new dance single "Ready To Go" (penned by good friend, Hins Cheung). They were very focused on their choreography and gave a powerful performance. However,Hins' strong point lies in ballad. I doubt the song is gonna make waves. Boyz should have engaged the service of Mark Lui or even Benedict Chong (莊冬昕)for fast tempo songs.
