My Sassy Hubby (我老公唔生性) meet and greet (Charlene Choi and Ekin/Dior Cheng ,鄭伊健、蔡卓妍) - 29 Nov 2012

"My Wife is 18" made a rumble in HK box office back in 2002. What better way to milk more money from a cash cow than to plan for another sequel ? It's a long wait as it took producer James Yuen a decade before getting Ekin Cheng and Ah Sa to reprise their roles as 張十三 and Yoyo Ma. This is probably Ah Sa's first visit to Penang island. I'm totally baffled that Penang island instead of KL was selected for the movie premiere. Ah Sa was spunky and radiant (just don't ask her to speak...she still sucks in fans rapport). Soon-to-be groom, Ekin, is still in fantastic shape and ageing problem seems to elude him. The meet and greet is one of the shortest events I've attended. It lasted a miserable 15 mins which consists of almost nil interaction between stars and audience which was no fault of the artistes. The culprit is the lady emcee from 8TV. The emcee was grappling to get her act together. Can you imagine that Ekin felt the frustration and had to take charge?!!! Such unbecoming attitude from the emcee! After a brief introduction on their respective characters, the function ended after photo-taking and balloon bursting launch gesture.

Astro TVB Artist Meet The Fans - featuring Moses Chan, Tavia Yeung, Eliza Sam and Jason Chan. Astro 我的最爱巨星见面会-陈豪、杨怡、香香公主岑丽香、陳智燊(24 Nov 2012 - Aeon Cheras Selatan)

Calling all TVB buff ! The annual battle for HK tv king and queen is in full swing ! In recent years, AOD awards ceremony has served as a prelude to TVB's anniversary awards. It is also closely watched by fans and paparazzi alike, as the majority has the impression that AOD is actually a token of consolation for would be "sacrificial lambs" during TVB's big day. However, the Ghetto Justice pair (Kevin and Myolie) proved this theory wrong last year. In the forthcoming ceremonies, it will be a tight tussle indeed - Kate-Tavia and Raymond-Wayne. Kate has improved loads and I really give her full credit for that but deep down, I truly feel that Tavia is more deserving of the TV Queen accolade. Raymond's Happy Sir failed to grow on me. His wide-eyed expression when he's furious is a turn-off. Wayne delivers in "The Confidant" but it's not a spellbinding role that will bring him critical acclaim like his performances in "Rosy Business" and "No Regrets." Then again, Wayne might get lucky on Dec 2 for his eunuch role becoz there has been wide speculation that TVB wants Astro to bestow the tv king award to Wayne. Let's see how it goes.,.just a week to go before AOD's event. I'm still very sore that Maggie has been snubbed although I kinda expected it. I rather not have any leading lady being nominated for "Tin Tai" than to see a mediocre and obviously second line artiste like Aimee Chan being blatantly promoted to the front line. Crap ! This year's ceremony could very well turned into a huge debacle...man, there is so much negative outpour from TVB artistes and the voting system is just a dumbass gimmick ! Let's touch a little on the Astro meet-and-greet event. I dunno why TVB sent Jason again after a lapse of 1 month. I wouldn't deny he's eye-candy material but his acting still needs a LOT of polishing. Just flashing his pearly white smile with twinkling eyes ain't gonna do the trick if he wants to go far. Gawd ! I am still struggling to understand his Cantonese when he yacks non-stop. Eliza is worst. This lady has way too much exposure for a so-so role. Another injustice to other artistes - putting her in the most improved category.Boo ! Improved in number of episodes in "Diva" ? I wouldn't even take into account her cameo appearance in "Ghetto Justice 2." Moses..I used to have high regards for this block. All that changed when I was fed with one shitty drama after another from Jonathan Chik - "Fly With Me", "When Heaven Burns", "4 In Love", "Master of Play"...I thought he would "redeem" himself in super producer, Lee Tim Sing's "The Last Steep Ascent" but again, it left a bad taste in my mouth with his uninspired and half-hearted performance. Tavia seems to have a larger following in Malaysia compared to Kate. After so much buzz surrounding "SSSS" during filming,it was a letdown to me. I'm not interested in watching a randy old geezer (Damian)'s love story and some of the scenes are downright gross...lip bitting, lap dance...awkward !! Really ! Are these scenes even necessary ? If these shock effects were added to spice up the drama, sorry, it failed. Tavia's role is boring, boring, boring. I'm rooting for her role in "Hippocratic Crush."
