G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri - the mere mention of these names is bound to drive hardcore hallyu fans into hysterical state ! I can't believe I actually survived my very first k-pop concert and we're talking about a mega iconic group called Big Bang ! Just making my way to the entrance is an ordeal that I have never encountered in my stars stalking life...I was at risk of being crunched by waves of "VIPs" (BB's fans). Mind you, getting the tickets was already very stressful. By the time lights were dimmed for the boys' smashing entrance,I was drenched from head to toes from the heavy downpour. Concert goers armed with yellow crown shaped lights roared in approval with BB appeared in space capsules. As expected, Singapore concert organizer - "Running into the Sun"(unlike local ones)spared no expenses in making the concert a visual and audio spectacle. You have to experience the quintet in live performance to understand why the current most in-demand korean group has amassed such a huge following around the world. Once they unleashed their charisma on you, I bet my last dollar that you'll be enthralled ! My personal favorites are Crayon, Monster, Fantastic Baby, High High...heck ! darn it ! I luv all the songs belted throughout the 2 hour plus concert, be it infectious techno/rap tracks or heart melting ballads. To please the already hyped and giddy crowd, BB members attempted to speak the magical Malay words - "Aku cinta pada mu" (watch the clip). RFOL ! Interacting in halting English, the boys send the fans screaming at the top of their lungs with every sentence uttered. Taeyang's shirt ripping moments and cool dance moves, TOP's deep enchanting voice while rapping, G-Dragon's charisma, Seungri beat box talent, massive Korean birthday song sing along for Top, ....all these magical moments would forever be embedded in the minds of fans who attended this high spirited show.
