Stephanie
Cheng has a string of hits in HK but is no household name in Malaysia unless
you are one that follows HK e-scene. Her most memorable song here might possibly
be the duet with Pakho Chau – “一事無成”, a catchy nice song. Vocal wise, Stephanie can certainly hold her own and able to sing live effortlessly. In fact, she is way
better than the current crop of HK singers. “Live Like 18” is her latest studio
album and some of the songs are actually pretty good. It’s a pity that the
organizer chose to hold most of her promotional activities in pubs instead of malls,
which I personally think is a more appropriate venue. The turn-out at the mall
which has seen better days was not exactly stellar but fortunately, the audiences
were appreciative and this can be heard through their applause. Stephanie did her best to engage the crowd. Good effort from Stephanie and this is the
kind of singer that earns my respect. And oh, I forgot to add that Stephanie is
one heck of a brainy lady, too ! Why ? She was smart enuf to ditch freeloader scumbag Wilfred
! Lol ! ***Praying hard that my idol comes to her senses***
