Leo Ku Genting New Year Eve's Concert (古巨基新年前夕雲頂演唱会)-31 Dec 2008

Don't mean to be harsh but I wasn't impressed at all with the concert. From costumes to songs selection,you can tell that not much preparation and effort were put into the show. If yoú are expecting a grand scale performance (like his two previous concerts), then you're in for a disappointment unless you are an ardent supporter. It's merely a stage show put together in-conjuction with the New Year Eve's celebration. Prior to the concert, I was already a bit skeptical of how the show would turn-out since this is not part of his world tour. Although I've always been very fond of his songs, I find myself almost dozzing off during the first segment of the concert. Luckily, the golden oldies duet with Terence Siu Fei managed to grab my attention and lift my spirit a little. To me, that was the only high point of the night. To my suprise, his special guest, Theresa Foo Wing,appeared so soon after the concert started ! Theresa sang a duet with Leo, before performing a solo number. At least, this time around, I get to listen to her voice. The last time I saw her during Justin's X'mas concert at Mines Wonderland, she only needs to act sexy and dance along with Justin for the number "Erica." She may be the prettiest member of Cookies but her voice is no match for Stephy and Kary.

Yes, the concert lasted for slightly more than 2 hours but if you look at the rundown, you would noticed that he has left out most of his hits. Only performing the obligatory killer songs like, 勁歌金曲,愛與誠,必殺技 and 愛得太遲. Leo was in thighs/super tight pants throughout the concert, which looks very unflattering on him. He looks so fat im 'em, especially when he shakes his booty ! Overall, it's just a so-so affair and on a personal note,an excuse to celebrate the new year countdown with friends. Thank Goodness I didn't splurge on the tickets and opted for the cheap ones.
