WELLNESS ON THE GO 星级健康 - Elaine Yiu 姚子羚 (Ipoh Padang Polo) 1 September 2013

It was a very tiring day for me, having less than 3 hours of sleep after watching "fun fun fun" concert in Genting the nite before.  I soldiered on for Elaine's sake, drove 2 hours to Ipoh and kept having to pinch myself to stay awake.  Padang Polo was already pretty crowded when I arrived and there was a snake-queue forming at the Astro counter for freebies. I was expecting the same kind of half hearted responses as in Jinjang (KL) and Penang but I was so wrong ! In Penang, no one moves when cajoled by Astro's staff to exercise with Sharon. They were too engrossed in taking pictures of Sharon or ogling at her.  Ipoh is an entirely different ballgame. It's full of fitness freaks that are eager to be on Astro (judging from their reactions). The people there were so dead serious on following the gym instructor's every move and poor me had a tough time finding an empty strategic spot for my photo shoot.  Astro must be pleased, I bet.  The ever professional Elaine emulated every steps perfectly with ease. One thing about Elaine is she is EXTREMELY generous with her sweet sunny smiles and her eyes would twinkle whenever she speaks. Priceless expression which endears Elaine even more to her growing fan base. Elaine spent 5 fun filled days in Ipoh, going to places like the iconic Ipoh railway station, pomelo orchard, satisfied her taste bud with yummy salted baked chicken (and famed white coffee plus bean-sprout-chicken rice), visited Ipoh's wet market and limestone caves. Elaine disclosed during the function that her uncle suffers from stroke. Hence, she is aware of the hardship/agony when an individual or our loved ones are sick.
