H20's outlets are making huge inroads in Malaysia, with presence in most major shopping malls. After switching spokesperson from Joey Yung to Tavia Yeung, H20 has once again arranged for Tavia to promote H20's products in various malls around KL and also the new outlet in Penang's Gurney Plaza.
First stop - Sunway Pyramid. I was kinda suprised to see a bunch of fans holding placards and banners waiting for her. The last time I saw her in Ipoh and KL, she doesn't have that many fans. I recognized some of the fans were actually from Twins/Joey/Vincy's fanclub. In conjunction with this promotion,those who purchased H20's products get a chance to have their pictures taken with Tavia plus an autographed photo, too. Tavia appeared right on time, in a purple dress, with her hair tied-back. She looks so elegant ! Her features reminded me so much of a young Maggie Cheung Ho Yee.
Since it was kinda early, there were not that many shoppers during that time. So, not many people bought the products. After a short interview with the emcee and photograph/autograph session, Tavia headed to the shop and posed for more pictures.
I skipped the function at Pavillion but went to the one at 1 Utama instead. This time around, Tavia was surrounded with onlookers(shoppers) and fans. Unlike Sunway, many people bought the products and were queueing up for her autograph. Tavia revealed that she'll be heading to Penang the next day (her first trip to Penang) and asked whether there are any fans from Penang. Some raised their hands. Tavia asked what is Penang's famous food and whether it's "lat sei nei ah ma" (witty Canto translation for Nasi Lemak). They told her Penang is famous for its Asam Laksa. Throughout the event, I keep hearing one comment after another and it's all the same - "Oooh ! Tavis is so cute ! Tavis is so pretty ! ". H20 really made the right choice by signing-up Tavia as the new spokesperson !
