The cast of "Gems of Life", comprising Maggie Siu, Kenny Wong, Bowie Lam and my fave hunk, Bosco, made an appearance at the entrance of Pavillion shopping mall on 5th Dec at 8 pm. Apart from this event, Astro has also arranged for some lucky fans to dine with the stars. I had anticipated a huge crowd and as expected, the front rows were mainly hogged by Bosco's fans. Bosco has a huge following (of all ages) in Malaysia and over the past 2-3 years, Bosco has been a regular to our shores...thanks to Kim Gary and Astro. The emcee interviewed an old lady (in her 60s-70s) and guess what ? She's there to see Bosco, too !
The artistes were pretty punctual. By 8 pm, one by one made their way to the stage. The crowd really went wild by then. The loudest applause going to Bosco, who were up to his cute and cheeky antics again, especially during the games sessions. This is the first time I saw Maggie and Kenny in-the-flesh. Maggie was really skinny, especially her legs. So envious ! For her age, she really did a good job in maintaining her figure. Gone too is the usual cool facade of hers, which we so often see on the screen. In person, she's not aloof at all, waving and smilling to the crowd.
After the games sessions, the artistes started to distribute TVB freebies to everyone. Chaotic but fun !
If Linda Chung had not been in KL during the same day and time (promoting her debut album), I think the turnout would have been even better ! Many "neutral" fans preferred this function than Linda's coz there are more artistes. As for me, my choice is pretty clear. My priority goes to Bosco.
