TVB Drama Kings & Queens "Fun Fun" in Genting (红星云顶乐fun fun 演唱会) - (薛家燕、黎耀祥、郭晋安、徐子珊和杨思琦)Roger Kwok, Nancy Sit, Shirley Yeung, Kate Tsui and Wayne Lai- August 31 (Genting)

Once again, Nancy Sit brought her entourage of E-circle frens to Genting. It was not as enjoyable as the year before.  The highlight was Nancy singing the gangnam song and was aptly awarded with thunderous applause for her well-executed moves. I would expect Roger to show the same professionalism but he turns out to be the worst performer of the evening. He not only sang out of tune but had the tempo of his songs all mixed-up. With his past singing background before he turned to acting full time, I had anticipated a better performance. What is lacking is not his vocal ability but his freaking lack of practice. Heck ! It's probably his first time performing the songs at a paid event. Wayne was good, showing vast improvement in singing and interaction skills. Sure, his voice is nothing to shout about but his effort and enthusiasm deserved recognition, especially after having to stomach Roger's terrible act.  Over enthusiastic Shirley's singing is bearable. What I find annoying is her non-stop yacking and her habit of injecting question marks in 90% of her sentences. I know she is trying to engage the crowd but hello !! the audience couldn't be bothered to respond to her silly questions and overbearing cute expressions. Complaints aside, my respect for Shirley went up considerably since she became a mother. It takes a lot of guts, hardship and sacrifices to raise her kid and she did it all on her own. Kudos to Shirley ! Kate looks cute in a white fluffy dress, with a matching glittering crown hair ornament. Singing is still so-so, unfortunately. It's a good thing she has included a dance number ( I have always loved the way she moves her body) but not too happy with her choice of song - "Drenched."  This song by Wanting must have had record breaking airplay in HK coz celebrities seems to be hooked to this dreadful song. Arrgh !! Overall, a humdrum show but saved by reasonable ticket rates.
