Unless you have been hibernating in Mars, you should be no stranger to the chorus of this song...."Eh- Sexy Lady oh oh oh oh". Ring a bell ? Yes, PSY's gangnam bug has invaded and terrorized the mass population. Bowie is not saved from this crazy trend either. Bowie literally broke into the silly invisible horse dance (which looks like a castrated man galloping in pain) at every given opportunity. Did the gimmick worked ? Yup, it sure did coz it has not only put a broad smile on my face but others were laughing out loud when Bowie struts his stuff. Without Bowie and Nancy engaging the audience in zany banter, this show would have slipped into boredom. I would not hesitate to scatter flower petals on the path that my fave actress, Sheren, walks on but IMHO, she is not too good in interacting with the crowd even though  she has given her best shot. I gotta admire her sincerity and having been to her live performance last year, one glaring improvement is Sheren's singing !!! Wow ! As the saying goes, “Talent” is an illusion. Practice a lot (correctly!!!) and you will be “talented” too! Couldn't be more true in the case of Sheren. Bravo 雯女 ! The white get up she donned during the opening act fits her to a T, showcasing the elegance and subtle sexuality of Sheren. 雯女 is never short of warm and cute smiles.. Okay, okay...I better stop raving about Sheren...otherwise, people would mistaken Sheren for Mother Teresa. Second time seeing Pierre Ngo in the flesh. I have seen him performing in "The Voice" plus other variety shows before and he is indeed better than most TVB siu sang. It's no different this time. In fact, he sounded better live ! My friend commented that he surpassed the original singer (Ron Ng) when delivering "红蝴蝶." Any TVB buff would tell you that Pierre's acting skills also deserved compliments. He can take on any role ! Pierre revealed that he will be coming over to our shores again real soon - to be exact Nov 1 and 2 for Astro's event, I believe. It's a rare opportunity to see Bowie, more so since he has parted ways with TVB. Recent years, I've not been impressed with his dramas. During his heyday,I've never failed to root for him and Flora Chan (the golden forensic couple !). The boring characters he played in "River of Wine" 九江十二坊 and "When Heaven Burns" 天與地 did little to help revive his lacklustre career. On stage, Bowie is a different personality..which evokes the boyish cheeky charm that I so missed from his older dramas. Bowie provided most comic relief and prevented 90% of the senior citizens from dozing off. I wasn't kidding about the senior citizens part. I was caught by surprise, too. Nancy is the so-called team leader of this entourage as she was responsible in roping the rest of the artistes for this tour (Toronto, Singapore and Malaysia). I cannot stand Nancy's voice nor am I a fan of hers. Having said that, I have to admit that despite my not so positive comments, Nancy is a natural stage performer. The last time I saw her was more than a decade ago, for "The Kindred Spirit" stage show. The skit between Nancy, Pierre, Bowie and a male member of the audience was freaking hilarious ! Bowie and Nancy also re-enacted a "Gone with the wind" moment, where Nancy requested Bowie to put his hand around her waist (bingo ! waist, what waist ?). They even took a jab at Tavia and Him's recent face-on-lap incident ! Will Nancy leave the stage without performing her dance routine ?!! Don't be silly ! Of course not ! This time around, she partnered with dancing king, Laughing Gor for "忘情森巴舞." Malaysia Government should seriously award Michael Tse with an honorary citizen status. He probably holds the record as the TVB star that visits Malaysia most! Those familiar with Laughing Gor would know that 友情岁月 is a compulsory song in his repeitoire. Maybe I've seen him too many times already, so not much comment about Michael. His hairstyle seems to be slightly different which makes him look way younger. If you asked me, I'd tell Michael to lose Laughing's M-style haircut which makes him look like an Uncle. Alan Tam's 朋友 spells the end of the concert. No deafening applause nor wild cheering fans but the 5 stars left everlasting warm memories but those who attended the concert. Genting, please bring Sheren and Teresa Mo again next year!
