Heavenly King, Aaron
Kwok’s (郭富城) two- night
concert dates (Aaron Kwok De Showy Masquerade concert at Genting, Malaysia 郭富城舞临盛宴世界巡回演唱会2015) attracted full-house crowd. Absence makes the heart grows fonder and it
rings true in this case. After a decade, we finally get to witness Aaron’s stunning performance once again. To Aaron, hitting the big 5-0 is just a number as
his stamina and agility are certainly capable of putting younger guys to shame.
Acrobatic moves were incorporated into his show. Balancing precariously on
stacked-up cubes, Aaron’s various gymnast poses are a sight to behold. Same
goes for his to-die-for chiseled abs ! Aaron, how on earth did you manage to
stay so fit ?! His phenomenal dance routine (which also includes a dance battle
with famed HK choreographer, Sunny Wong) proves that Aaron is still in his
element and without a doubt, the reigning dancing king of Asia. May I also add
that his boyish charm is pretty much intact? Uh huh…I’m talking about his irresistible
gleaming smile. I can’t believe that I am still using the word “boyish”
to describe Aaron at his age! What can I say, afterall these years, Aaron Kwok Fu Shing has not lost his star appeal. I like the whole concept of the show. From the amazing props (which includes a Kawasaki super bike) and stunning special effects (my very first time experiencing a 3D moment when he sang "永遠愛不完" plus his multiple stunning wardrobe change
really elevate the entertainment value of this unforgettable show. Performing
at Genting ain’t easy at all as the venue is located at a high altitude. It
could quickly result in shortness of breath due to increased strenuous activity.
Aaron shared that he been
preoccupied with filming movies in recent months. His latest flick, “The Monkey
King 2” movie is scheduled for worldwide release during next year’s Chinese New
Year period. Aaron also has fond memories of Ipoh, where “After This Our Exile”
was shot. Throughout his interactions with the audience, I kept hearing fans
asking Aaron to take off his shirts. LOL ! Aaron ended the concert with his “Para
Para Sakura”. Aaron still recalled setting history in Malaysia’s Book of
Records when he danced along with 15,000 people during “Para Para Sakura”
publicity ploy years ago. I would have given this concert a perfect 10, had
Aaron done the trampoline act performed in his HK tour. I guess the stage at
Arena Of Stars could not accommodate this act. Overall, this is one of the most
memorable concerts I have attended in recent times. 城城 RULES !
