Calling all TVB buff !!! Yup, it's that time of the year again. In conjuction with the forthcoming Astro Wah Lai Toi Drama Awards, Astro arranged for 3 TVB artistes to grace our shores. Michael Tse Tin Wah, Angela Tong Ying Ying and Myolie Wu Hang Yee were engaged in a 3-day back-to-back meet-the-fans sessions at various shopping malls located in Penang.
The event kicked off at Sunway Carnival Mall last Friday (Nov 30) at 8 pm and ended yesterday morning (Dec 2) at Sunshine Farlim Hypermarket's outdoor carpark. The crowd turnout was pretty impressive, considering Penangites are well known to be pro Taiwanese stars.
Cool prizes, including a fully sponsored trip to visit TVB city in Hong Kong and tickets to watch the WLTDA live at Sunway Convention Centre on Jan 26, 2008 were given away to the lucky ones. Fans were clamouring to go up the stage, to join in the games...mainly to get up close and personal with the TVB "fadan" and "siu sang." As expected, Myolie turns out to be the crowd favourite. She's the only one who had fans holding placards and banner supporting her. To be fair, Michael didn't disappoint either. He may not be as dashing as Ron Ng or Raymond Lam but he's certainly a seasoned pro when it comes to interacting with the fans. He literally had the fans eating out of his hands with his witty banters and playful antics.
WLTDA will be aired live on Astro Wah Lai Toi (channel 311) at 8pm. Voting for the awards starts on Dec 17 and ends on Jan 19 at midnight. For more information, visit astromobile.com.my/wlt07. The full list of nominees should be published soon. Folks, get ready to vote !
