I made it to the inaugural awards presentation in 2010.Last year's artists line-up failed to evoke any interest, so I skipped the event. I decided to make an exception this year for the sake of EEG artistes - Twins, Sherman and Ken Hung. When I reached arena of stars at 5.30 pm, the queue was as long as the railroad tracks. Majority were there to support the Taiwanese stars (especially up and coming rising star, Della Ding Dang). My sixth sense was right. The show was way too long and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that all were clearly "pork awards" (豬肉奖). Even the award titles were misleading and confusing. It sounds almost alike all the time. My FM had also added endless unnecessary gimmicks involving their deejays , supposedly to spice-up the show. Give me a break ! It's just a waste of time and damn boring. Most My FM deejays have over inflated egos. Out of the 4 hours, the show only managed to hold my attention for 10 minutes(that's time Twins and Sherman/Ken took to render two songs). LOL !
