Natalie Tong 唐詩詠 and Him Law 羅仲謙 (“Astro Wah Lai Toi 2012 Presentation Party” 《Astro 华丽台2012节目巡礼派对》- March 30 , 2012

Despite Him Law's negative press coverage during his infamous break-up with Teresa Fu, it did not put a dent in his popularity one bit. If anything, this dude seems to be going places as TVB (facing serious poaching issues from new rival tv stations) is grooming him to be the next front line actor. Apparently, no news is bad news and negative coverage leads to more exposure (ultimately fame and fortune) for Him, who is signed with Filmko and not TVB's "biological child". The ironic part is when I handed him the dvd box set of "Hippocratic Crush", he signed on Tavia's picture !!! Coincidence ? Hahaha...go figure ! Ask Tavia and Him ! I had long suspected their relationship ain't merely a platonic one. Time will tell.... Natalie Tong is probably banking on her next big break, which is appearing in golden producer, Lee Tim Sing's swansong effort - "Detective Columbo" (神探哥倫布), to propel her into the limelight. Afterall, TVB seriously needs to fill-up the leading ladies void with the departure of Maggie Cheung and Ah Sheh. Although billed as the main actress in this series, rumours are rife that Sire Ma will have more screen time. I so hope this rumour is not true. Sire's Cantonese is still not up to mark. I'm definitely rooting for Natalie ! Just loose the kiddie & high pitch voice and she should be alright. At times, her too youthful look has somewhat stunted her career growth coz it tends to make her less convincing in potraying professional and mature/strong-willed characters. Then again, perhaps all she needs is just a chance to showcase the other side of her talent to the audience. It has never crossed my mind that she could play the role of conniving antagonist before but Natalie has lived up to the challenge. If I have a say on who TVB should promote next, it would be Natalie, Nancy Wu and Selena Li.
