Following the enormous success of “Wellness On The Go 1 and 2 ”, Astro and TVB have once again joined forces to
bring us the third installment (Wellness On The Go 3 – Dare to Dream aka 星级健康3之星梦成真-举行造势与宣传活动)
this coming June (to be broadcasted in HK at a later date). TVB
flew in Oscar Leung (梁烈唯),
Benjamin Yuen (袁偉豪), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Pierre
Ngo (敖嘉年) and Elaine Yiu (姚子羚) to promote the premiere
of the new season. This time around it has a brand new refreshing
theme, exploring the dream occupation of TVB artistes. A few new faces will be
joining the host line-up, namely, Him Law, Natalie Tong and Pierre Ngo. At the
time of writing, they have two more episodes to shoot before wrapping –up
season 3. Fans, watch out for Natalie Tong
and Nancy Wu to grace our shores next! Personally, season 3 really piqued my
interest. I like the first season (and the fact that there is open event with
each episode filmed) but the second season is a bore…same old same old.
For Benjamin Ng and Elaine Yiu, I truly believe this season
is their most memorable. Ben had a
harrowing experience working for the local fire fighters. It’s funny when Ben
said “I trained with BOMBA (the Malay
word for fire brigade)”. During the fire
drill simulation, Ben had a close shave when he almost burnt his hand when the
fiery fire got too near for comfort. Lucky
for him, his team mate helped put it out in the nick of time. Let’s not forget
the taxing physical training he had to endure and the mental state of mind he
had to prepare himself for. Ben
entertained the audience with an oldie, Shakin’ Steven/Michael Buble’s “Crazy
Little Thing Called Love.”
Elaine was all teary eyed in the promotional clip. A
longtime advocate of animal shelter and cruelty against animals, shooting this
show is truly a dream come true. Each time Elaine shared her joy and sorrow at the
SPCA with the abandoned dogs and cats, I was in awe of both her passion and
compassion for the stray animals. If she had not joined the e-circle, I bet her
employer would have been SPCA. Elaine even
extended her trip in Malaysia, just so she could visit SPCA again. She has grown extremely attached to the
animals during the short period of shooting. SPCA even asked Elaine to name one of the
abandoned dogs (the name goes by the month the animals were left at the
shelter). Elaine named the dog “Angel “(for
the month of April). Elaine strong
encourages adoption instead of buying new pets. Although under the weather, Elaine gave a
perfect 10 rendition of “你最珍贵” with Pierre Ngo. Elaine looks absolutely stunning in a short
dress.
Pierre is new to “Wellness on the Go” and he is such a seasoned
emcee with sound knowledge of the fish species. In the game session, baldy
Pierre helped his kiddy fan scored top marks in identifying the fish species. Pierre also talks about the many new things he
had picked-up while working at the breeding farm of Golden Arowana. He joked that the leeches had a “buffet” when
he was bleeding big time after being bitten. Oscar took on the task of an eco tourist guide
in the tropical rain forest. He had to relieve himself out in the open although
he tried hard to hold it in, plus overcome his fear for bugs and creepy
crawlies, too. Sharon lived out her
dream of being an apprentice chef in a 5-star-hotel, serving a number of
customers who did not realize that Sharon is in the kitchen sweating out the
dishes. On a side note, Sharon will soon be expanding her cookie empire –
Blesscuit Bakery to Malaysia. Other celebrities participating in season 3,
includes Him Law as a gym instructor and Ruco Chan (original ambition is to
become a race car driver) but had to settle for being a barista managing a café
on his own.
