What
a week for fans of Korean medical drama, “Doctors” ! The two main leads (Kim
Rae Won and Park Shin Hye) of this critically acclaimed series were on a back-to-back
visit to Malaysia (Kim on Monday, followed by Park on Friday). First timers to our shores, both were definitely
enthralled by the massive turn-out of the very loud crowd. I didn’t make it to Kim’s meet and greet
session at Pavilion but made time to catch Park in-the-flesh during the Mamonde
Flower Day event at 1Utama mall. 26-year-old
Park (Mamonde’s brand ambassador since 2014), dressed in red blouse and white
stiletto is lanky, charming and a natural beauty !
I
think it has become a norm for almost all emcees to inform Korean artistes on how
long the fans have waited. In this case, since 10 am. The next predictable obligatory
question (which is becoming a big bore ! ) – “have you tried the local food ?”
Yes, Park ate satay and nasi lemak. Thank Goodness , the emcee is more eloquent and professional than the MyFm emcees that hosted the Shoopen event
and Big Bang’s fan meeting earlier. Park also shared her easy peasy beauty
tips, which is simply to moisturize and hydrate her skin. Emerging in the
e-circle as a child star, rest assured, Park is no “plastic”. She’s 100%
natural beauty !
There
was also a lucky draw whereby a few selected fans get the opportunity to
receive a bouquet of flowers from Park. Many took the opportunity to hug her ! Jelly
!! Before making her exit, Park thanked her fans once again (fans were chanting
her name) and hope to be back again next year.
