Joyous Mid Autumn Festival - Natalie Tong, Kristal Tin and Oscar Leung ( Astro登陆月球闹中秋 - 梁烈唯, 田蕊妮 & 唐诗咏) - Gurney Plaze - 22 Sept 2012

Fancy catching a sniper, concubine and ancient gangland leader in a mall ?! First off, you must have the patience and will power to endure 3 hours of lame entertainment from Astro which is about as interesting as watching paint dry. When the horrendous nail-biting and hair-pulling wait is over, it's time to rejoice by basking in TVB's fun-filled entertainment goodness ! Ironically, another fellow cast member from "King Maker", Wayne Lai, was just across the island, singing praises for his latest endorsement deal - "Diamond Water". After the home bred artistes made an exit via the played-to-death moronic Gangnam song and dance, audience heaved a sigh of relief ! Wai Wai aka Oscar Leung was the first to greet the crowd. Enjoying a new lease of fame via his sterling potrayal of Kwan Yee Gor in "L’Escargot" and sharp shooting SDU in "Tiger Cubs", Oscar was no stranger to TVB fanatics. Donning black sleeveless outfit, Oscar flexed his muscles and flashed his trademark charming wink ! A lucky fan holding a self-made fan bearing Oscar's Chinese name - "唯" was ecstatic when she was handpicked by Oscar to participate in the target shooting game. Oscar also shared news of his current well-being (set to star in the remake of "The Young and Dangerous" as "山鷄") before serenading the audience with flabby dude (Ron Ng)'s "Red Butterfly." I think he handles the song better than the original singer. The emcees called on Kristal @ Ah Tin to the stage next. The way she dresses (OL look) reminds me of her character "Ling" in "No Good Either Way." Not many are aware that Mrs To made her debut in showbiz through singing contest. It's not surprising that singing is a breeze to Kristal. She even entertained everyone with an impromptu unplugged rendition of Tiger Huang's karaoke hit "没那么简". This was followed by a full length performance of Karen Mok's "他不愛我." One word - "superb" ! Kristal had just completed a mainland drama in China. Haven't seen Natalie in 6 months, she appeared to have pack on some pounds after shooting concludes for "神探高倫布." 2012 is indeed a fruitful year for Natalie. "神探高倫布" has propelled her position to TVB's leading lady. In addition, mega drama "大太監" will be seeing the light of day before the year comes to a close. I'm doubtful of her chemistry with Wayne but from the look of things, her career is definitely steering towards the right direction. Tim Gor (Lee Tim Sing)has a knack of bringing out the best of his stars' abilities and Natalie has a taste of that in "A Fistful of Stances." I'd rather TVB set its sights in grooming Natalie than promoting annoying newcomer, Eliza Shum, who is way over-rated ! Eliza seriously needs to get off TVB planet. Those familiar with Natalie's singing would know how "good" she is. She attempted "花花宇宙"....the result was more pleasant to the ears than anticipated. What's mid-autumn celebration without playing a round of game concerning "中秋", right ? The celebrities, along with 3 members of the audience drew "中秋" theme pictures on black paper card boards which was eventually given to the participants as souvenirs...autographed, of course.
