Leaving
the limelight for almost two years apparently didn’t put a dent in Linda
Chung’s popularity. The recent Bio-Essence roadshows are a strong testament of
her staying power. Linda has not changed much in appearance after giving birth
to Kelly. In fact, I find her to be even more attractive and alluring than
before, exuding a matured feminine charm.
The last time Linda was in town was almost two years back (October
2015). She was obviously overwhelmed by emotions to the point of tearing up,
upon seeing such a massive turn-out of fans/supporters. Linda assured everyone that she has no
interest to go into early retirement and intends to keep acting for as long as
she could. Presently, Linda is in the midst of shooting the remake of “At the
threshold of an era”, along with Tavia, Benjamin, Frankie Lam (which would
partner with Linda) and Roger Kwok. A huge portion of the scenes involving
Linda would be shot in Canada, to accommodate her. I hope TVB doesn’t botch
this up (“Line Walker : The Prelude” – The Prelude has met with lukewarm
reception and is no match for its predecessor).
With alarming and dwindling viewership/ratings, TVB is keen on milking
past hit dramas to regain the market share. Unfortunately, without much
success, I’d say. These days, I would be
contented if there is a remotely decent TVB drama to watch.
Linda’s
face lits up when the topic centers around baby Kelly. Enjoying motherhood,
Linda hopes to have the best of both world – a balance between her family and career. The upcoming “Heart of
Greed 3” will be aired in late November. Although Linda could not participate
in this drama, she has a hand in singing the song. Linda enjoys an extremely cordial working
relationship with Bio-Essence, who is entering the tenth year of her partnership.
Personally, I take my hat off to Bio-Essence’s CEO. I have never seen a CEO
taking the initiative to help fans/consumers to take photo with Linda and I am
not talking about just 1-2 person but loads of them (easily close to 100 ! ). This CEO is really something! Respect ! Linda
also shared that the first thing that comes to mind whenever she heads to
Malaysia is always food, food and more food.
I
have just heard of the shocking news about TVB pushing out their annual HK TVB
awards to Jan 21st, 2018 (from the usual Dec period)!! Seriously,
TVB ???! I can’t think of any other reasons but to allow “Heart of Greed 3”,
“My Ages Apart” and “The Exorcist’s Meter” to be nominated as well. It’s so freaking screwed !
