Astro嘻嘻哈哈喜洋洋嘉年华 - 沈震軒 Sammy Sum 唐詩詠 Natalie Tong - Tesco Klang

A couple of days after the event, HK tabloids were splashed with headlines about Tony Hung’s very public pursuit of Natalie Tong. To be honest, I am all for it! It’s time for Natalie to move on to a new romantic relationship and get out from Amigo Choi’s vicious shadow. Natalie’s last visit to Malaysia was like 2-3 years ago. Fans look forward to seeing the vivacious Natalie and when you throw-in a hot, sexy and astoundingly cool dude like Sammy Sum, you should expect nothing short of wild enthusiastic support.

I am so thankful that Astro arranged for Natalie and Sammy to perform first. By then, I am so “roasted” under the brutal scorching sun! One thing is for sure, the priceless expressions on the artistes’ faces are very clear indications that they enjoyed the function as much as we do. Sammy’s live performance of  換個他was flawless. As I have mentioned, this guy is definitely someone to watch out for.  Natalie’s singing is just mediocre (Jolin’s 日不落) ,which I had expected but did not mind coz I am just happy to see her again. Natalie has a good memory and was extremely friendly to a Cantonese speaking Indian fan (who had won an Astro contest and I believe met with Natalie at TVB city recently). She hugged him twice on the stage when he participated in a game session.  What a lucky fella! Natalie said she hope to have the chance to try local hawker food, like curry mee. Both also shared their Chinese New Year plans. Sammy (raised in Canada) hopes to find time to visit his family in the land of maple leaf.  Keeping my fingers crossed for Paco Wong to arrange for Sammy to head to Malaysia again during his debut album launch in March. I sensed an awkward moment when Vivian, the Astro emcee, asked whether Natalie would spend time with her parents. Natalie’s mom passed away a few years ago. Natalie revealed that she would spend the CNY with her married brother’s family. She might also try to make  “robert go” (radish cake).  She also took the opportunity to promote “Raising the bar”. Speaking of this drama, I of course, ain’t pleased at all with Elaine and Natalie’s limited screen time. Again, these two talented ladies have to make way for the four newbies (of which, I only find Stephanie Ho showing potential). Grace is in way too many dramas back-to-back. I sincerely wish that Natalie finds success in her career and love life in 2015.
