Nutox’s
longtime ambassador, Nancy Wu, is back to promote the local brand’s Advanced
Serum Concentrate. It’s a very savvy business move for Nutox to pick such an opportune time to hold the greet-and-meet
session with Nancy, especially with all the buzz created by “The Unholy
Alliance” 同盟 drama recently. The big
question looming on every fan’s mind – “who is the big boss ?” Ruco, Jimmy,
Elena, Jazz Lam ? Some have compared Nancy’s performance in “The Unholly
Alliance” with last year’s runaway hit, “A Fist Within Four Walls”, pointing
out that Nancy’s pizza and snack chomping, loud mouth and insecure assassin
role as too over the top. Well, we shall know the verdict as the 3 major
awards ceremonies start rolling out one after another, beginning with
Singapore’s Starhub TVB Awards in October, followed by Malaysia’s TVB awards in
November and finally, the biggie in Hong Kong comes December. Let’s see if
Nancy could sweep all the major awards in these 3 countries. As we speak,
the heat is on for Starhub TVB awards as voting has already commenced last week. My personal favourite for TV queen is Nina
Boa. Since Malaysia and Singapore’s results are based upon popularity poll,
Nina’s only shot will be at the HK awards show.
During the event, consumers purchasing RM150 worth of Nutox products
were given a chance to have a personal photography session with Nancy, plus a
free autographed poster. The roadshow attracted quite a number of clients
and I noticed from all races, too. No wonder, after 4-5 years, Nutox and
Nancy’s collaboration is still going strong. Nancy shared her beauty tips
and talked briefly about her role in “The Unholy Alliance”. Nancy revealed that
although she suffered bruises all over from personally performing the stunts,
she has a deep sense of satisfaction thereafter. She also expressed her appreciation to Jazz
for turning her into an action star.
Asked about her secret for staying fit and slim, Nancy mentioned that
she actually eats anything and everything ! That’s the reason that she has to
work out even more than others to retain her svelte figure. The event is a week away from Nancy’s
birthday, which falls on the 9th of September. The
organiser presented Nancy with a surprise birthday cake. Nancy requested for a
Malay version birthday song, which the fans gladly obliged (captured on the
above video clip). A beaming Nancy said that the experience is extremely
memorable and during that during her
actual birthday, she will get to see all her besties again as they will be
having the press conference for the胡說八道 travelogue then.
